The owners and staff at the Beach House Inn and Suites would like to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. In order to accomplish this, we have developed policies over the years that assist our guests by allowing them to know what is expected of them, as well as what they can expect of us and other guests.

Guaranteed reservations

The Inn is considered a destination property. All reservations at the Beach House Inn & Suites must be guaranteed by credit/debit card in the amount of the first night’s rental, including tax, at the time of making your reservation. All group reservations of four (4) rooms or more must be approved by management before hand and a fifty percent deposit is required. This includes all individual reservation for the same event. All reservations are considered a contract between the Inn and the person making the reservation.

Exception to credit-card deposits; if there is adequate time, a money order can be sent. No personal checks are accepted.

Cancellation policy

To cancel a reservation and receive a refund, we require one week’s notice for off-season reservations, and three week’s notice for in-season reservations. There is a $20.00 fee imposed on all cancellations.

Reservation no-shows are treated as cancellations without notice and the total stay amount will be charged to the credit card on file unless the unit is re-rented for the original stay.

Reservations are not moved or cancelled based on weather.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in time starts at 3:00 pm until closing. Verify the closing time when you make your reservation. Closing time varies with the seasons. During the early spring and late fall, the office closes at dark on weekdays and 8:00 to 9:00 pm on weekends.

Late spring through early fall, the office closes weekdays at dark and 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm on weekends. For repeat guest call before the above times if you think you will need a late check-in up to eleven o’clock so arrangements can be made for you to get your keys.

Age requirement

Individual guests must be 25 years of age or older to reserve and stay in a room or suite and all show valid identification to check into a unit.         **Exceptions:  Families, and couples 21 year and older**.

Occupancy policy

To keep your cost at a minimum, all rates for one-room units including suites are based on two (2) adults; both one bed with sofa sleeper or two beds are at the same rate for two (2) people. An extra charge of $10 per person will apply for each additional person using your unit and you must not go over the maximum allowed for your unit. Two children under 16 stay free if no extra bedding is required and registered as an occupant of your unit.

Please note: For fire safety there is a maximum occupancy for each room and we must know the total number of people in each room regardless of age.

Lost and found policy

If an item is left in the Inn’s guest rooms after the guest has checked out, the item will be placed in our Lost & Found for 45 days. Call the Inn to verify that the item has been found. At the owner’s expense, an item can be picked up by Mailbox Express and mailed to them. To contact Mailbox Express, call 910-790-1999.

Smoking policy

All rooms, suites and private balconies are non-smoking. Guests who choose to smoke in a non-smoking room will incur a $200 deep-cleaning fee (placed on their credit card) to return the room or suite to a smoke-free condition. In addition, the guest would be liable for the motel’s loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent the room or suite while the room is being deep-cleaned.

Please, do not burn candles in our room or suites, it creates a possible fire hazard.

In consideration of our guests health and comfort, smoking is no longer permitted on private balconies, as smoke from one balcony can easily transfer to the adjacent balconies. Guest smoking on private balconies may be requested to check out without a refund. All rooms and suites have direct access to public open porches. Smoking is permitted on these porches as well as on the sundeck, at the pool, and in the under-building common areas.

Pet policy

Unfortunately, due to our size and site we do not accept pets.

Service Animals

Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability.

Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort do not qualify as service animals under the ADA. We accept ADA service animals.

Quiet hours

Quiet hours are 10:00 pm until 8:00 am. Please keep noise emanating from your room down to a level that does not disturb other guests beside or underneath you. Also keep noise to a minimum level on porches and stairs during this time. Thank you.
